  I am writing this review on behalf of my grandaughter, Eva Campbell, aged 11 years. Before her consultation with Dr. Alex McEwan, Eva was a little nervous. Dr. McEwan put her at ease and his treatment of Eva was a texbook case of what to do with a young child. He was so thorough and so very patient, carefully explaining every step of the procedure. Result- a young patient happy and relieved and cured of apprehension about visiting the dentist. Dr. McEwan gave detailed advice to Eva about her oral hygiene. He also gave a thoughtful diagnosis of her overcrowding teeth. Eva highly recommends Dr. McEwan. .

  Having known Dr Alexander McEwen for more than 10 years as his patient and been completely satisfied with his dental care. I noticed that one of my upper teeth which had previously had root canal therapy was beyond repair. It was either an upper partial plate, bridge or an implant.
  Dr McEwen walked me through the procedure required for an implant and provided me with brochures.
  
  On reading the brochures I said to Dr McEwen that I would like to go ahead with the implant. To do that I firstly required a CT Dentascan, to identify any problems. Dr McEwen on checking the CT scan confirmed that I was a candidate for an implant.
  
  In preparation for the implant Dr McEwen provided me a script for antibiotics prior to the procedure and advised to take a couple of Panadeine on the day of surgery. On the day of surgery Dr McEwen explained exactly what he was doing. I felt completely relaxed and totally confident in his ability. He was talking to me throughout the procedure and with the assistance of an intraoral camera he was identifying the exact place and nature of his work which I could see on the TV screen in front of me. I felt no pain, after the procedure I was able to walk out on my own. Dr McEwen did prescribe pain relief, which I did not need as I felt fine even days afterwards.
  
  I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Dr Alexander McEwen to any person requiring his dental care or for implant procedures. He is an excellent, well mannered young man with total care and commitment to his patients.
